Reading Indigenous Self-representation in Comics

Cole Pauls, a Tahltan comic artist, will host readings and an artist talk that examines Indigeneity in comics created by both non-Indigenous and Indigenous authors.

As part of the 2018 Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), Biidaaban, follows the journey of a gender-fluid Indigenous youth and Sabe as they set out to gather sap from sugar maples.

Jeremy Dutcher

Jeremy Dutcher is an award-winning Indigenous operatic tenor and composer. His latest album, Wolastoqiyik Lintuwakonawa, won the 2018 Polaris Music Prize. His music blends his Indigenous roots with classical, traditional and pop to create unique compositions.
