Castlemain has extensive experience negotiating complex agreements on behalf of Indigenous communities. Castlemain’s approach is to work closely with elected leaders and economic development teams to understand their goals, principles and desired outcomes, and negotiate accordingly. Castlemain is able to draw on the knowledge and experience of our Practice Area teams to devise the best possible negotiating strategy, with a focus on detailed research and preparation. Castlemain also prioritizes the development of meaningful relationships between the parties, recognizing that these relationships are key to the implementation and long-term success of an agreement.
