Elle-Maija Tailfeather’s world premiere of c̓əsnaʔəm: the city before the city is scheduled to appear for 2 showings at this year’s Vancouver International Film Festival. There are still tickets available for the October 6th showing at the Cineplex Odeon International Village. Tickets: $13
Indigenous archaeologist Dr. Rudy Reimer (Squamish) has just finished filming the second season of APTN’s series Wild Archaeology. As part of the SFU President’s Faculty Lecture Series, Dr. Reimer will be discussing the show’s behind-the-scenes work as well as his experience of sharing Indigenous archaeology through TV.

WHAT WE’RE EXCITED ABOUT
The 14th Annual BC Assembly of First Nations AGM will be held at Musqueam Community Centre on October 11 – 13. With the BCAFN Elections for Regional Chief and for the Board of Directors happening on October 12, this will definitely be an exciting event.
WHAT TO LEARN
The Centre for Indigenous Research and Community-Led Engagement (CIRCLE) and the Indigenous Mentorship Network of the Pacific Northwest (IMN-PN) are hosting an Indigenous Speaker Series on Indigenous Mentorship Network on October 10. This will be held at the University of Victoria First People’s House. Be sure to attend to learn about opportunities for networking, mentorship, training, financial support and professional development.
